A little experiment with some super glue was enough to hold together a my Glenn Weyant disc– which had been cracked in the mail– long enough to allow a copy to be made. I’m going to play some of it this morning, to celebrate this small success. I’ve also got a lot of other cool things I’ll be sharing… including some minidiscs from Lona Records that I thought might be fun to re-visit.
I am digging hearing this RST disc “Axes” again. Haven’t listened to it for a while– now I remember how much I liked it in the first place. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Last Visible Dog remembers WDBX when those sweet new Futurians LPs come out this winter, too. I kinda doubt it, though– the day LVD can’t move 300 copies of Futurians on 180-gram vinyl, they should just hang it up. I better set $10 aside, eh?
Damn. I really LOVE this Gen Ken Montgomery release, “Birds + Machines”. GK, you had me at “birds.” But seriously, what a collection! I’m just about going bonkers over tracks like “Shoot Me Down,” which are just simply too much fun to hear. Big congrats to Pogus, who have obviously invaded my brain to figure out what I like.
Be sure to check the link for “Droneland Security,” so you can go listen to it for free. Also, just curious, what are people’s opinions on the Bandcamp website? I’m seeing it a lot more lately, and wonder how it’s working out for both ends of users.
